About Epictetus FO

Epictetus FO is a real family office, run in public as a 25-year commitment — from 2026 to 2051.

Most investors who talk about discipline never have to prove it. We decided to do the opposite: build an entire capital-management system on Stoic philosophy, then open the whole thing to the world and let it be judged over a quarter of a century.

The premise

You don't control the market. You control your process, your position sizing, and whether you follow your own rules when it's hard. So we wrote the rules down, made them binding, and committed to running real money by them for 25 years — in the open.

That means the things most funds hide, we publish: the time-weighted return including every drawdown, the companies we actually buy and sell, the structure behind each decision, and — the part nobody publishes — every time we break our own rules, with the diagnosis of why.

How it's run

The capital sits in two parallel portfolios:

• Stoic Core — the long-term book: a structured, rules-based portfolio built to compound over decades.
• Tudor — a small, tactical sleeve, run against the Core in a 36-month public contest we call the Tudor Match.

The philosophy and the open record are free: the first two levels of our Manifesto, the live returns, and the monthly letter in summary. Members get the working core — the full Execution Manual (Manifesto III–V), the live portfolio and its structure, the complete monthly letter with the real numbers and named trades, the full Tudor Match data, and the entire post-mortem log.

This isn't a place to copy trades. It's a place to watch a disciplined system run honestly, over a long horizon — and to learn how the decisions actually get made.

Who's behind it

The portfolio is managed by one person who writes under the name The Architect while the public track record builds. The operations, the platform and the community are run alongside. The identities are private; the philosophy, the rules and the numbers are not.
